Cash for College
No one should be priced out of higher education.
Our state Cal Grant and Middle Class Scholarship programs are among the nation's strongest efforts to help families pay for college tuition. As chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance, I've been working for several years to bolster these programs and help all of our state's students achieve their academic goals.
Beginning this Sunday, October 1, California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP) will host Cash for College workshops in the Sacramento region.
These free financial aid workshops offer help filling out applications for financial aid programs, including FAFSA, the Dream Act, Cal-Grants, Middle Class Scholarship and Chaffee Grants. Experts will be on-site to answer questions and to help with applications.
These Cash for College workshops are open to everyone regardless of where your child attends high school.
