Grand opening celebration of new, state-of-the-art Downtown Commons Medical Offices showcased how much this new Kaiser has to offer Sacramento: expands healthcare access; provides quality healthcare services like primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, oncology, and pharmacy; and opens up a comprehensive Latino clinic to serve Spanish-speaking patients.

Great to check in with a local hidden treasure ... the California Automobile Museum.

The museum has a new & exciting new floor plan for the amazing array of cars on display, from Henry Ford's experimental cars to his Model T to Jerry Brown's Blue Plymouth.

California Hunger Action Coalition - CHAC is doing incredible work to fight for legislation that would end hunger in California and create a more just food system. Glad to meet w/our local #CHAC group, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, to discuss expanding access to nutritious and safe food in the Sacramento region.

Quite an honor to address the Lincoln Law School of Sacramento 2018 Graduates and receive an honorary degree. I spoke about the legacy of Lincoln Law School serving unconventional law students and future lawyers, as Abe Lincoln was 175 years ago.

I also focused on my later mother Barbara J. McCarty, a 1983 Lincoln Law School graduate and her unconventional but successful journey. I know she would be smiling.

And congrats 2018 Valedictorian, Heather Nadine Temple!
