State Auditor Report on UC Office of the President Makes the Case to End Outsourcing


(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento), Chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance released the following statement in response to the California State Auditor report, “The University of California Office of the President: It Has Not Adequately Ensured Compliance With Its Employee Displacement and Services Contract Policies.”

(SACRAMENTO) – The California State Assembly has approved HR 23 by Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D – Sacramento), recognizing June 20, 2017 as World Refugee Day. This resolution recognizes the sacrifices and positive contributions refugees make in our nation and affirms California’s support for refugee communities throughout the state.

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – The California State Assembly today approved the 2017-18 State Budget Act, which is on-time, balanced and makes historic, progressive investments in public education, the environment, healthcare, infrastructure and public safety. The Assembly approved the Budget Act on a vote of 59 to 20. Earlier in the day, the State Senate approved the 2017-18 Budget Act on a vote of 28 to 10.
