Assemblymember McCarty Advocates for Gun Ammunition Regulation

Thursday, June 30, 2016

(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento) presented Senate Bill 1235 (De Leon), which passed the Assembly and is now headed for Governor Brown’s desk.  AB 1235, one of several gun violence measures under consideration by the legislature, would regulate gun ammunition sales by requiring sellers to be licensed.  In addition, ammunition purchasers would have to be registered gun owners, and not be on a prohibited gun purchaser list.  Watch this Assembly Access Video to hear Assemblymember McCarty’s presentation of SB 1235.
